King Joffrey’s Strange Disappearance

The young Irish actor Jack Gleeson was incredibly good in the role of ‘King Joffrey,’ arguably one of the most despicable characters in the hit series “Game of Thrones.” But after leaving the show in 2014, he shocked his fans by announcing that he viewed acting as a hobby, not a full-time job, and wanted to pursue an education.

Gleeson studied philosophy and theology and reportedly started a theater company called Collapsing Horse. In 2021, fans of Gleeson were given a glimpse of hope when the Cork, Ireland native made a short but promising acting comeback with the comedy flick “Rebecca’s Boyfriend.”
