Trevor McDonald – 82, Trinidad and Tobago

Sir Trevor McDonald gained attention as an ITN news presenter. His face became well-known on British TV when he became the network’s sole “News at Ten” presenter. He later joined ITV to host “Tonight with Trevor McDonald” which was revived in 2010 with Julie Etchingham serving as the presenter. He retired in 2005 but made a comeback in 2007.

McDonald eventually quit the industry in 2008 after covering the U.S. presidential election. Since then, he has appeared and presented numerous documentaries including the 2021 ITV docu “Trevor McDonald & Charlene White: Has George Floyd Changed Britain?” He also presented a special 2021 edition of “Countdown.”
