Sally Ann Howes – 91, London
Sally Ann Howes is the daughter of Bobby Howes and Patricia Malone. Having parents who were celebrities meant she lived a lavish life growing up, but she always preferred to stay away from the limelight. It didn’t take too long before she wanted to get into show business, and her career lasted for more than 60 years.
She had a memorable performance in the 1968 film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and she received a Tony Award nomination for Brigadoon. Howes stopped acting by the mid-’90s, but she still makes occasional public appearances like in the upcoming Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age documentary.
