Ricky Schroder – Racing Enthusiast

Originally, Ricky Schroder was working his way up to finance a business as a telephone repairman. Instead, he decided to pursue his dream of being an actor. He won a Golden Globe Award for his performance in The Champ back in 1980. Schroder loves racing cars and has, in fact, used this love to support “Racing For Kids” – where celebrities race to “raise” money for children’s healthcare needs. In 2006, weeks before their 24th wedding anniversary, his wife filed for divorce but the good news is that he remains active in his fight against child abuse.
