Beverley Callard – Liz McDonald from Coronation Street

In 2020, the vibrant Beverley Callard was just the third celebrity to be voted out of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! But during her time in Coronation Street, she managed to stay on track for over 2,300 episodes before leaving. Her legacy is impressive, and her soap character, Liz McDonald, was at the center of countless romances, feuds, and plot twists.

While she’s an extremely positive person, Callard’s life has been far from easy. She was married to an “alcohol-induced violent” man, suffered an abortion, was treated for cervical cancer, and lost 40% of her earnings in the aftermath of a 2008 Coronation Street credit crunch.
