Elaine Chao & Mitch McConnell – 28 Years

Elaine Chao was born in Taiwan in 1953. She lived there for eight years before moving to the States. Little did she know that she’d become the 18th United States Secretary of Transportation back then, but her service concluded in January 2021. Her husband, on the other hand, recently became the Senate Minority Leader.

They met each other through common friends in the early ‘90s. By then, Mitch McConnell had already found a lot of success in politics, becoming the Senator of Kentucky in 1985. They tied the knot in 1993, marking the second marriage for Mitch. It’s safe to say that he won’t have to go through it again.
