Jerry Lawler And Andy Kaufman Feud on Letterman

While it seemed like it was staged since the band started to play music when Jerry Lawler slapped Andy Kaufman on “Late Night with David Letterman,” the fans sure loved the scene, and the participants liked the attention. This took place around four months after the event when both the guests had a wrestling match in 1982.

The show started with the two displaying their bad blood towards each other while Letterman just laughed and giggled. Things turned worse with time, and Lawler stood up and slapped Kaufman off his seat. The latter just had enough and left the show after cursing Lawler.
