Even though the famous actor Kiefer Sutherland was born in the United Kingdom, he spent most of his teenage in Toronto and has deep roots in the country. His parents, Donald Sutherland and Shirley Douglas are both famous actors. On the other hand, Kiefer’s grandmother Tommy Douglas was a Canadian politician who had also been the Premier of Saskatchewan.

After a few successful acting roles in films, he then moved to the United States, where he grew in fame. However, the project that got him much recognition was the 2001 TV series “24,” in which he played Jack Bauer. His acting in the series won him an Emmy.
