Barack Obama: $70 Million

Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States and the first African-American. He has a mixed legacy. He gets insufficient credit for his handling of the domestic economy, but his foreign policy left so much to be desired that his Nobel Peace prize was deemed premature. In 2021, he put his time and attention into the Obama Foundation.

The Obamas were not wealthy for much of their adult lives. They first became millionaires in roughly 2005 thanks to book royalties as Obama entered the political spotlight. His wife, Michelle, too, made excellent scores on her book, “Becoming.”
