Paul Merson is an English soccer player who gained fame as part of the Arsenal team that won two Football League Titles (now known as the Premier League) and two FA Cups and the European Cup Winners’ Cup (now known as the Europa League).

He also had notable spells at Middlesbrough and Aston Villa, the latter of whom he led to the FA Cup Final in 2000. He has since moved into punditry providing analysis as part of the football team at Sky Sports. He also hosts a show called “Fantasy Football Club” and writes a column for the Daily Star’s “Seriously Football” pullout.
