SUE LYON – LOLITA, 1962
Sue Lyon began her career as a 13-year-old stunner and developed into a fashion icon and successful actress. She transitioned to the big screen in 1959, appearing in an episode of “The Loretta Young Show.” Her international stardom came with her first major TV role in the 1962 film “Lolita,” which won her a Golden Globe award.
Playing the titular character in the movie, Lyon played a young adolescent who has an infatuation with a literature professor. She bagged the role that attracted over 800 other interested girls vying for it—rocking this striking brown two-piece swimwear and a light blue wide-brimmed sunhat.
