BRIGITTE BARDOT – GIRL IN THE BIKINI, 1958
The younger generation may not know that Brigitte Bardot was previously an actress and singer because she works as an animal rights activist as of 2022. The retired French performer starred in 47 films and recorded 60 songs before retiring from the entertainment industry in 1973.
Bardot’s debut in acting was in 1952 when she starred in the film “Crazy For Love,” and her breakthrough came in 1953 after starring in the French movie “Manina, the Girl in the Bikini.” Although her father, Louis Bardot, signed a contract with the production not to share indecent pictures, some shots of his daughter emerged wearing a bikini.
