Gulag Fun Time

Gulags were forced labor camps that existed from the ’30s to ’50s under the rule of Joseph Stalin. Prisoners, especially political ones, are kept there and forced to work very hard. although this might seem like an extreme comparison, the playground in this picture looks more like a detention center with its fence and barbed wires.
Looking at this playground which is said to be a private kindergarten in Omsk, Russia, we are left wondering specifically what they are attempting to keep in or out. They may be trying to keep reckless individuals out because the surroundings are not particularly safe.
