The Cult of the Pigeon Mask
Every county has a set of unique traditions that would seem really weird to outsiders. So when we see a group of people lined up on the sidewalk wearing pigeon masks, you’ll be left guessing what strange custom this is. This photo was taken on a sidewalk in Tokyo. And the masked men and women are likely students of the nearby Musashino Art University.
Interestingly, this isn’t their first rodeo as they’re well known on the internet and locally as the Japanese Pigeon People. Their impeccable arrangement and timing indicate this must be an elaborate prank on the Google Street View cam. Hey people, mission accomplished!
