Michael Caine

Before this highly-acclaimed and award-winning British actor rose to fame and became a household name, Michael Caine had a reasonably normal childhood. His family was not well-off; dad was a fish porter and his mother a cook. At the age of 10, Michael starred in a school play with his zipper undone, getting a hearty laugh from the audience. He credits that reaction as his inspiration for taking up acting to this day.

Between the years 1952 and 1954, the English film icon was called to serve in the British Army. Finally, by age 20, Michael professionally took up acting, leading to a distinguished career spanning over six decades.
