Fans of Jonah Hill can be relieved: featured in 2022’s comedy “You People,” he was at his comedic best in late 2021’s “Don’t Look Up.” But this “Superbad” comedy favorite got us all worried for a while. His career was going down the drain following his acclaimed performance in “The Wolf of Wall Street,” and nobody seemed to know why.

According to Looper, Hill’s few tough years were motivated by both personal and professional reasons. He was emotionally devastated by the precocious passing of his brother Jordan Feldstein, called off his engagement to Gianna Santos, and was slammed by the critics for his performance in 2019’s “The Beach Bum.”
