Blacklisted Star Gets Justice After Two Decades

The disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein was accused of harassment roughly two decades before starting to serve a 23-year sentence in 2021. The bold actress behind it was Mira Sorvino, who went from starring in ’90s movies such as Woody Allen’s “Mighty Aphrodite” to virtually disappearing from Hollywood.

It turns out Sorvino was reportedly blacklisted after going against Weinstein, who was one of Hollywood’s most influential personalities at the time. She has since managed to make a more-than-fair comeback; she appeared in the 2021 season of “American Crime Story” and is featured in the 2022 series “Shining Vale.”
