Self-presentation and impression management are essential aspects of social interaction. People often engage in self-presentation to create a particular image of themselves for others. This can be achieved through both verbal and non-verbal communication. Individuals may also use impression management strategies to control the image they present to others, such as self-promotion, intimidation, and ingratiation.
This guy tricked his followers by presenting a photo of himself gazing into the sunset across the pier. However, that’s just a canvas he is standing in front of. A staged photo doesn’t have the honesty and reliability as does a genuine photo. Being transparent is the key.
