Glenda Jackson – 85, Birkenhead
Glenda Jackson isn’t an ordinary actress because she was named the Best Actress at the Academy Awards twice already. Her award-winning performances were in films like Women in Love and A Touch of Class. She also took home a Primetime Emmy for Elizabeth R and a Tony for Three Tall Women.
Jackson took a break from acting in the ’90s because she entered politics. She was a Member of Parliament for Hampstead and Kilburn and the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport. In 2015, she made an acting comeback, and she will reportedly appear in The Great Escaper.
