John Cleese – 81, Weston-super-Mare

John Cleese gained his footing in the industry from his involvement with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. He lent his penmanship to “The Frost Report” while also appearing in the satirical show. His biggest breakthrough came when he teamed up with the Monty Python troupe.

The comedic outfit is behind the series of cult-favorite classics like “Life of Brian” and “The Meaning of Life.” Cleese and his ex-wife Connie Booth rose to greater heights of fame when they co-wrote and starred in “Fawlty Towers.” Decades later and his incredible talent is further displayed in the 2020 comedy film “The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee.”
