Wendy Craig – 87, Sacriston

Wendy Craig always knew that she was serious about acting, so she trained in London’s Central School of Speech and Drama. She appeared on the West End during the beginning of her career, but she eventually started gracing people’s TV screens.

Her most notable performances were in …And Mother Makes Three and Not in Front of the Children. Craig had legendary services to charity and drama, which led to her becoming a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2020. She hasn’t done any acting work since appearing in Transference in 2019.
