Sheila Hancock – 88, Blackgang
After a successful career as a theatre actress in London, Sheila Hancock appeared on Broadway for the first time in 1966’s Entertaining Mr. Sloane. Her superb debut performance earned her a nomination for the Best Lead Actress in Play award at the Tony Awards.
She also had an incredible film career, earning recognition for starring in Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, and Annie. Hancock doesn’t need to focus on retirement yet, since she’s still in demand. She last appeared in the Unforgotten TV series, and sources say she has an upcoming short film titled Second Skin.
