Finding a Real Mermaid

When diving into the ocean, one never knows what to expect. You may be lucky to see and interact with some of nature’s most beautiful aquatic creatures. Whales are at the top of the list of friendly ocean creatures you can bump into during a dive. They are known to be curious and sociable.

This whale was probably intrigued by the diver and wanted a closer look. Just as the diver popped up, the whale’s tail appeared at the surface. This candid shot led to the intriguing image of a mythical creature that many believe exists: mermaids.
