Egypt, the cradle of civilization, has a rich and fascinating history that stretches back millennia. You’d think a country with such a pedigree would have plenty of World Cup wins to brag about, right? Well, think again. Despite its long-standing heritage, the North African nation has only made it to the FIFA tournament three times.

In 1934, they made history as the first Arab and African teams to participate. But it was a long wait before they qualified again in 1990 and then in 2018. Sadly, they never managed to win in any of those appearances. With time, that may change.
