GLORIA HENDRY – LIVE AND LET DIE, 1973

Before stepping into acting, African-American actress and former glamor queen Gloria Hendry worked as a playboy bunny in New York’s playboy club in 1965. The movie “For the Love of Ivy,” released in 1968, gave her her first on-screen gig, although she would go on to star in several films.

The thespian best-known for her ’70s movie roles filled the first significant black female character in the James Bond movie series, appearing in 1973’s “Live and Let Die.” In the film, she appeared in a multi-colored swimsuit in one of the scenes, playing inexperienced CIA field agent Rosie Carver, posted in San Monique.
