Jack P. Shepherd – David Platt from Coronation Street

The English actor Jack P. Shepherd surprised his fans by appearing in the 2021 short Drip, his first acting job outside of Coronation Street since 2016. A Best Young Actor and Best Bad Boy former winner, Shepherd is known for playing the character of David Platt, who grew up right in front of our eyes over the last 21 years.

That’s right: even though Shepherd is only 33 years old, he’s been portraying Platt for over half of his life now. Like many of his soap opera co-stars, Shepherd loves to appear in British talk shows. His latest was the TV special The Big Quiz 2020: Coronation Street vs. Emmerdale.
