Benedict Cumberbatch & Sophie Hunter – 6 Years

The English actor Benedict Cumberbatch met his wife of 6 years when the two were studying at Oxford. She’s Sophie Hunter, a theatre/opera director who’s often involved in avant-garde projects. Cumberbatch and Hunter became husband and wife in 2015 and have three sons: Christopher, Hal Auden, and Finn.

Cumberbatch rose to fame after starring brilliantly in the mini-series Sherlock, offering a refreshing new take on Britain’s favorite fictional detective. He then made it all the way to some of Hollywood’s most ambitious productions, joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the role of Doctor Strange. He’s the star of the 2021 biopic The Electrical Life of Louis Wain.
