Laura Kuenssberg & James Kelly
British journalist Laura Kuenssberg became the first woman to serve as political editor for the BBC. While she is a groundbreaking woman, she didn’t just fill a gap. She has earned the respect of her peers for her work and has held the job since July 2015.
She also briefly worked as the correspondent for Newsnight from 2014 to 2015. She intends to step down in Easter 2022, which leaves her with some more time to spend with her husband management consultant James Kelly. They currently have no children, but that may change with all the free time she is about to have.
Kamala Harris & Douglas Emhoff – 7 Years
Remarkably, the American people had to wait until January 2021 to see the first-ever female vice president. Her name? Kamala Harris. A former United States senator from California, Harris ran successfully alongside serving president Joe Biden against Donald Trump and turned her husband, the American lawyer Douglas Emhoff, into the very first Second Gentleman of the history of the United States!
A convention-breaking couple, Harris and Emhoff, tied the knot in 2014, roughly one year after meeting on a blind date. They don’t have any children together, but Harris is the stepmom to Emhoff’s son and daughter from a previous relationship.
