Pig On The Beach

The beaches of Guanacaste, Costa Rica, are well-known. Playa Avellanas is one of the city’s lesser-known beaches. Not only is Playa Avellanas a lovely beach, but it also has a delightful restaurant, Lola’s, right on the sand, where you can unwind.

It was named after a pig who served as the restaurant’s mascot when it originally opened, and the establishment has kept pigs on the grounds as a tradition for many years after the owner’s death. One of them is this particular pig. A tourist who came to the restaurant snapped this photo of the pig in this stunning sunset.
