Bikini Parade

After 357 ladies put on the two-piece to set a new world record in 2011, Australia was dubbed the “Bikini Capital of the World.” The bikini-clad women parading through Surfers Paradise have enhanced the country’s reputation for producing world-class women.

Marching in the Bikini Parade made it possible to surpass the previous world record, just days after the city welcomed athletes Sam Stosur and Sally Pearson home after their amazing sporting accomplishments. China had since broken the record in August 2012, when the country held the largest bikini parade in Huludao City, Liaoning, with 1,085 participants.
