Many of us remember Robin Scherbatsky, the Canadian who moved to America in the popular sitcom “How I Met Your Mother.” Well, that’s the actual story of the actress who plays that character. Cobie Smulders is from Vancouver in British Columbia and completed most of her education there.

While she thought she’d be a marine biologist at one point, her love for theatre and acting led her to the industry with more minor gigs in the beginning until she finally landed the famous role in “How I Met Your Mother.” The show was a hit and won nine Emmys, with Scherbatsky becoming a favorite with the fans.
