Pamela Anderson was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada. Before moving to Vancouver, she attended a local school and started working there as a fitness instructor. It was in this city that her career took off. She was featured on a local football game jumbotron, wearing a certain beer company’s t-shirt.

Her then-boyfriend took a few photos of her and had them circulated for publicity, and soon she started to get recognition for modeling. According to a 2005 article from the Casino City Times website, Anderson worked for Playboy magazine for over 22 years, during which time she appeared on a record number of covers.
