Belgian player Kevin de Bruyne experienced a romantic disappointment before meeting his wife, Michele Lacroix. Indeed, he was dating a certain Caroline Lijnen before she cheated on him with Thibaut Courtois, one of his teammates. This gave him the shock effect, even if the water flowed under the bridges afterwards to clean up the relationship between the two players of the Belgian national team.
