Sure, Rikishi seems to have lost a noticeable amount of weight now, but his failure to do so in the early ’00s cost him his work with the World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. Born to the Anoa’i family of Samoan wrestlers, his career in the industry was predictable.

According to The Sportster, the WWE Hall of Famer was let go by the WWE in July of 2004 after failing to meet the company’s requests for him to lose weight. Now aged 55, Rikishi continues to make the occasional appearance at wrestling events. For instance, he attended The Undertaker’s retirement ceremony at Survivor Series in 2020.
