Joe Manchin: $5 million

Joe Manchin is a Democratic senator who, according to The Guardian, owns millions of stocks in coal and also earns at least half a million dollars a year in dividends from these stocks. As of 2021, he had never been more famous because it’s not publicly known how his stocks put him in a massive conflict of interest.

In a statement on Fox News, he announced he would not support policies that seek to restructure the shattered economy around ordinary Americans, like the Build Back Better Bill, because it would also support the move to clean energy.
