SUSAN SAINT JAMES, BORN IN 1946 – KATE & ALLIE

Susan Saint James landed her first professional acting job in the ’60s, but it took a while before getting her “big break.” The ’70s show titled McMillan & Wife launched her into mainstream stardom, and then she got even more famous for starring in Kate & Allie. She slowed down in her career in the ’90s and focused on raising her kids. She even became an activist. People thought James was in retirement already, but she has been doing some acting work again in recent years. In 2020, she appeared in The Haunting of Bly Manor.
