Beverly Cleary- Age 104
Beverley Cleary is a well-known writer of both adult and children’s fiction and, in fact, one of the most successful American living authors currently. She was born in 1916, and she turns 105 soon, in April 2021. Cleary was born in McMinnville, Oregon, US, and was raised in Grant Park, where many plots in her novels are actually set.
Her first book came out in 1950, titled Henry Huggins, and she has so far published a total of 44. She is the recipient of the National Medal of Arts, the Laura Ingalls Wilder Medal, has numerous more accolades, and even a school named after her in Portland, where she still resides.
