Before he was John-Boy Walton, Richard Thomas was a Broadway baby, making his debut at age seven in “Sunrise at Campobello.” But it was his Emmy-winning turn on “The Waltons” that made him a household name. He later chilled audiences as Bill Denbrough in the 1990 miniseries “It” and brought gravitas to FX’s “The Americans” as Agent Frank Gaad.
