Ally McGraw gained widespread recognition for her role in the 1969 film Goodbye, Columbus. Her performance brought her a Golden Globe for Most Promising Newcomer. She gained further fame for starring in Love Story in 1970. For that film, she won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama and was nominated for an Academy Award. In 2016, Ally reunited with her Love Story co-star Ryan O’Neal to stage a play titled Love Letters. She is an animal rights activist and a Hatha Yoga devotee. She is even credited as the person who popularized the practice in the United States.
