Her acting journey began in 1965 when she got a major role in the sitcom “Gidget,” and, luckily, she became an international figure. By then, she was an 18-year-old, and the series was about surfing. RACHEL MCADAMS – THE NOTEBOOK, 2004

Rachel McAdams started working in Canadian film production after her graduation in 2001. She made her debut in Hollywood in 2003, where she starred in the comedy film “The Hot Chick.” The “State of Play” starlet rose to international fame after her magnificent performance in the 2004 romantic film “The Notebook.”

The movie was based on a 1996 novel by Nicholas Sparks with the same title. McAdams co-starred with actor Ryan Gosling in the film, with whom she shared a forbidden love life as a young couple in the ’40s.
