Many may not know actress-model Mary Cathleen Collins by her birth name, as she is better known as Bo Derek, her professional name. She broke out with the romantic comedy “10” in 1979, playing the role of Jenny Hanley, where she wore this iconic caramel-colored one-piece swimsuit that leaves people startled at first glance.

The former glamour queen and semi-retired actress starred in several films directed by her first husband, John Derek, including “Tarzan, the Ape Man” and “Ghosts Can’t Do It.” Apart from being a feminine symbol, Bo, who first got married at 19, sported cornrows in the film that many people liked and copied.
