After several on-and-off retirements from the entertainment industry, American former actress and stunner Phoebe Cates finally called it quits in 2015 after primarily working on movie voices. She became popular with appearances in “Drop Dead Fred,” “Gremlins,” and “Fast Times at Ridgemont High.” In the latter, she played Linda Barrett in 1982.

The film, which grossed more than $27 million, brought her immense fame, taking her to several magazine cover pages, including Seventeen and Tiger Beat. Cates brought justice to this memorable teenage boy fantasy role in the movie, emerging from the swimming pool in this little red bikini before going topless a few seconds later.
