The World of Cowgirls

In the world of western shows, cowgirls were known for their impressive skills and style while performing various stunts. From trick riding and roping to expert shooting, these women demonstrated precision and prowess in the entertainment industry. However, it wasn’t until the Cheyenne Frontier Days in 1904 when Bertha Kaepernick from Colorado took on the challenge of riding a bronc that a new era in rodeo began.

Initially, there was hesitation to allow her to participate, but Kaepernick proved that women could ride broncs as well as men. Since then, countless cowgirl enthusiasts have taken on the challenge of riding rodeo bulls of various sorts.
