Double Meanings
The familiar expression “mean people suck” is often used to convey displeasure with those who behave negatively towards others. Conversely, “nice people swallow” can be interpreted as a compliment to those who are considerate and accommodating. However, being nice doesn’t always equate to being a good person.
Today, individuals who are quick to anger may be labeled as not nice, while others may go out of their way to put on a show of friendliness. Sadly, these seemingly amicable individuals may not always be as nice as they appear. While the double entendre may be hard to ignore, drawing a clear boundary can be challenging.
